The members of Oz Cocktail Bar having created the Mastiha Project – an action to enhance and spread mastic and its by-products in the catering industry – was awarded in February 2017 by the Chios Chamber for its innovative and extroverted action. Through various participations in exhibitions, presentations, secular events and gastronomic events, the Mastiha Project quickly became known throughout the food industry. Oz’s major work was the collaboration of various mastic liqueur companies for the first time in an international exhibition, where hundreds of visitors had the opportunity to get to know the production stages of mastic, to taste and distinguish its product categories and to feel familliar with this unique product which belongs in the UNESCO list of intangible cultural heritage.

Since 2014, Oz’s team has pioneered in various domestic and international cocktail competitions, winning the appreciation of both customers and industry professionals. Driven by the hard work of its members, Oz managed to climb on the top of cocktail creators, with the most important the 1st place of Iakovos Kostantas in the international “Perfect Serve” competition in New York in December 2018.

A little earlier, the duo Giannis Miliotis and George Stamatelopoulos managed to take the 3rd place in an international competition of Skinos Mastiha Spirit between 20 countries. In the same competition, where bartenders from the best bars in the world competed, Oz’s team won the 1st place in the audience’s preferences.

The trio of awards won by members of Oz, is completed again by Iakovos Kostantas with the 2nd place in the Angostura Cocktail Challenge 2016, creating two amazing cocktails based on the famous rum from Trinidad and Tobago.
