The Athens Bar show is the biggest bar exhibition in Greece. It has been held out once a year and it is devoted in bars, bartenders and professionals. This year for first time, Chios, the island of mastic, was represented by the Oz cocktail’s bar team in order to promote the unique product of mastic as materia prima in bars. The major idea is “the mastiha project” which was inspired by the members of Oz cocktail’s bar team.
In 8 & 9 November we were in Technopolis, in Gazi, and in corporation with Mediterra and the Mastiha shops, we showed new methods and trends in catering halls and bars. From the Athens Bar Show we were provided a showground where we had the Oz salad basket, a citroen van from 60s which is a modern mobile bar now. In association with ARCHstudio we made an exact illustration of mastic tree’s agriculture. George Bouses and Danai Athanasopoulou designed an eye catching construction. A huge mastic tree was hanging by a thread and under it was a huge pot full with soil and white dirt powder exactly like the mastic tree in the field. One of the most special moments for Oz salad basket was when Stelios Papadopoulos (connoisseur of tekila) and the inspirer of Tommy’s Margarita Julio Bermejo came to ask more information for the mastic.
In our participation in exhibition was including a 30min presentation with the title: “Mastic Tear: the new measurement in bars”. About 70 professional bartenders had their eye on our awarded bartenders who were showing the new trends in bars by using that unique product in a wide variety of applications.
